Thing 23 - Summarize Thoughts!
After doing some of these activities, I think I know a little more cool things to do in my classroom. My favorite thing was definitely the Wordle. It was a really awesome way for students to summarize a speech or essay in a short time. They can see which words are the most important in the specific project that they are working on. I also really liked most of the other tools that were mentioned in the 23 Things List. I knew about a lot of them already, but I still really enjoyed playing around with them again. The things that I didn't know were fun and easy to learn and I didn't feel stressed about their difficulty. They were amusing and at some times, it was difficult for me to focus on my homework because I was enjoying them so much!
Thing 20! - Teachertube!
http://teachertube.com/viewVideo.php?video_id=206812&title=A_Child_Called_It_Book_Trailer
I read this book when I was in High School. I really thought that this book trailer was done really well. I think that TeacherTube is a great tool for teachers and for any one else for that matter to find educational sources without having to sort through everything that is posted on Youtube. I think Youtube works really well also, but I think that Teachertube makes it easier to find exactly what you are looking for.
Free Rice - Thing 12
Freerice.com is a Website that provides trivia questions to whoever goes on their website. For each question that you answer correctly, Freerice.com will provide 10 grains of rice to a country that is in need of food. I think this website is really fun and addicting. I get to test my knowledge but at the same time, I am helping a country in need. And on my first try, I got up to 230 Grains of Rice!!! Hooray for me! I think this could be used as a good game for English students for them to test their vocabulary!

Thing 8! RSS Feeds
I currently have an RSS feed on my computer at home. The RSS Feed is great. I check mine almost every day and it gives me news information and sometimes gives me cute and funny pictures that I would like. Everything that the RSS shows me is always something I am interested in reading about, but I don't have the time to go and look it up myself. I think its a great idea for people who want to see the news really quick or see something that will make them smile. And the best part about it is that it updates itself.

Technology In the Classroom!
I have had many good and bad experiences when it comes to technology. Everyone encounters that teacher who is not good at using technology and relies on their students to teach them about it. I believe that in situations where students are required to write an essay on a certain historical events, technology is their best bet. When I first began high school, I had to write an essay about September 11th. Because it was so recent, it was difficult for me to find information on it at the library because it hasnt been published in many of the library's books. After making us search for awhile through library books, our teacher allowed us do research online about September 11th. There was more information than any of us could imagine. Because we were able to look online, the project became much easier and we could find more information very quickly. We could also search quickly for certain aspects of the event. I think that using just the internet as a teaching tool can be very helpful in class.
